UMass Has Offered 2013 NJ QB Anthony Robbins

We posted about one class of 2013 QB offered yesterday. Today we can confirm another.

Anthony Robbins plays his high school ball Willingboro High School. He was invited to the 2011 Under Armour combine.

We can confirm via Robbins that UMass has offered him a scholarship. There is limited information on the QB, but he does have an ESPN recruiting page.

UMass Has Offered 2013 Pennsylvania QB Michael Keir

According to Philly.com, UMass has offered pro-style quarterback Michael Keir of the class of 2013. Keir is rated as a 2-star prospect by Scout and a 3-star by ESPN.

The only other 1-A program to offer at this point is MAC foe Kent State. However, according to sources, a number of other big name programs have shown some interest.

KAEO: Arthur Williams, Florida S

We’ve got another player we want to keep an eye on this fall. He’s Arthur Williams. Williams is a Florida safety, and has the UMass Minutemen in his top 3. That according to Chris Nee of 24/7 Sports. This is also confirmed by Rivals.

Williams is a 2-star prospect as rated bu both Scout and Rivals. According to these reports, Williams is also high on Florida International and South Alabama. MAC foe Buffalo also offered, but apparently didn’t make Williams’ cut.

Although Amherst is not as close to home as FIU, there will certainly be plenty of Florida guys on the Minutemen roster come fall of 2013. Hopefully Williams keeps that in mind when making his decision.

Pennsylvania FB Daquan Mack Commits To UMass

Last week there were various reports that Daquan Mack wanted to be a Minuteman. Today, it appears, that came to fruition for the class of 2013 fullback. It is being reported that Mack has committed to UMass.

Mack was receiving interest from Uconn, Temple and Villanova, according to Rivals. The highlights you can find on YouTube are impressive. This kid runs hard. I have to believe the UMass fans will love that. However, what’s even more impressive are Daquan’s interviews on YouTube. In those videos, as just a sophomore and junior in high school, he comes off as confident and intelligent.

Good luck to Daquan during his senior year. If he keeps up the hard work and big things await him in Amherst.

UMass Will Have A Solid Presence In East Hartford

We are now less than 2 weeks out. The Uconn game is right around the corner. It was originally reported that sections 134-137 and 237-238 at Rentschler Field would be allotted to the University of Massachusetts. According to representatives at the UMass ticket office, 134, 135, 136 and 137 have all been sold out.

At this time there are over 500 tickets available on StubHub. However, upon further review, section 135, 136 and 137 have no tickets available. Section 134 has only 8 tickets for sale. Those sections clearly stick out in comparison to the surrounding sections.
