As we approach the fall, more and more recruits will narrow their lists. It will be interesting to see what type of players keep Massachusetts on their short list. With so much change over the course of the last year, there’s little to go on in this regard. I will attempt to point out those players that continue to keep UMass on their radar.
One of those players we should keep an eye on is Reggie Green. The Cranford, New Jersey senior is a 2-star athlete, as rated by Rivals.
Green talked to XOFan about his collegiate choices:
“I narrowed my list to a top five of Temple, Boston College, Pittsburgh, North Carolina State and UMASS,” Green stated. “Those are most likely the only schools I’ll be focusing on for the rest of the way.”
Those are Green’s exact words, per XOFan. Massachusetts is last on the list. Does that mean we are last in his heart and mind? At the same time, UMass did get the ALL CAPS love. So we do have that going for us.
So what’s the decision going to come down to?
Green has mentioned that he will be looking at depth charts to help make his choice. He wants to play. And he wants to play on the offensive side of the ball. Specifically, it looks like he wants to QB or play WR. It appears that Molnar and company are recruiting Green on the offensive side of the ball.
More as it develops.
